We hope everyone is keeping safe and well! Below is a recap of our past and upcoming events!
 
1) World Polio Day 
 
Members of the Oakville clubs were able to gather together with Oakville Mayor Rob Burton to do a flag raising following all health precautions.
 
End Polio Now Flags that can attached to your car are still available. We have 11 flags left with the money going directly back to PolioPlus Fund, so if you would like a flag to show your support as you drive down the streets - please reach out to Norma to purchase. Flags at $16 and can be e-transferred to Norma, norma@normagamble.com.
 
 
 
2) Rotary Foundation Month 
 
This month, consider making a donation to the Rotary Foundation through your MyRotary account. If you need any assistance logging onto MyRotary, please send an email to Jananee (jananeesnathan@gmail.com).
 
 
 
3) Interested in a Board Position? We are looking at doing a Board Shuffle and would like to know if any members are interested in being involved in a club leadership role. 
Board Positions Include: 
- Secretary
- Community Service
- Engagement
- Communications
- Membership 
- Finance
 
We would like to thank Brian Carmichael, Club Secretary for their service to the board since our charter. Brian has been a key force in developing the Passport Club and we have learned a ton with him as Club Secretary. Brian will be leaving their Board position effective Jan 31 in order to provide opportunities to other members to serve in a leadership role on the board. Brian will remain as a member of our club.

6) Passport to Conversations
 
Inviting Rotarians/Rotaractors and friends of Rotary to our first "Passport to Conversations" session organized by us, Passport Club South!
Each month we will be getting together to discuss interesting TedTalks and social issues through healthy conversations.

7) Visit One Rotary Centre- virtually
 
Check out our new virtual tour of One Rotary Center, Rotary’s world headquarters, which we are offering in place of in-person tours during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

8) Rotaract Club of Mississauga's Cookie Dough Drop Fundraising program! 
 
The club will be selling frozen cookie dough drops (from Terra Cotta Cookie's Co based in Georgetown) at $13/box, where each box contains 40 dough drops (800g/box). $5 from every box sold will support our Well Installation Project on Ukerewe Island. For more details (including flavour and more information about their international project, visit: https://www.rotaractmiss.com/cookie-dough-drop-fundraiser

9) The Rotary Online Auction
 
The auction has started last week with more items and bargains than ever before. It ends next Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 10:00 PM.

With over a thousand items to choose from, including golf packages, electronics, travel, furniture, restaurants, gift cards and gift baskets, there’s something for everyone including those hard to shop for.

If you haven't already done so, please register by visiting the auction website rotaryonlineauction.ca and click on "Register" to set up a bidding account. Proxy bidding is also available to ensure your favourite items are not out bid.

The website is easy to navigate and highlights popular items, the auction rules, and information about our sponsors.
