We are so grateful to be able to keep our Rotary family together virtually during these different times. At our last meeting, we had a wonderful mindfulness session facilitated by our very own member, Patricia Gagic, where she led us through meditations and reminded us to be appreciative, giving, trustworthy and present to improve our overall well-being.  Thank you, Patricia!

Rotary Member Initiatives

We have such a giving community in Rotary. Here are some ways our members have shown their generosity during this time:
-Lynda Cowan: Delivering edible flower bouquets to nurses to show our appreciation and setting up a food drive out of her very own van for those in need.
-Kathy May: Helping her elderly neighbours with grocery shopping, ordering from a local restaurant once a week and assisting with the Mississauga Food Bank.
-Linda Pavan: Sewing headbands that allow for masks to hook onto buttons instead of around the ears and donating them to the local healthcare facilities. Supplies for the headbands were generously donated by Norma, Patricia and Bettie.

Membership Dues 2020/2021

Membership dues for the upcoming 2020-2021 Rotary year starting July 1 have been recently approved by the Passport Club South Board.

Dues were set at $276 per year (vs. $260 this year) with almost all the increase coming from higher Rotary International dues along with the accompanying unfavourable change to foreign exchange as RI dues are paid in $U.S..  We have budgeted for some expense reductions to help keep our fees down. Invoices will be sent in May ($196) and November($80).

Zoom Meetings to continue as Oakville Town Hall remains closed until end of June. Keep an eye on your e-mails for the Zoom Link. Next meeting: Thursday, May, 14, 730pm.
