Scholarship from the District Environment Committee (DEC)
 
Lucille (Lucy) Herman is a high school student at Milton High School and is a dedicated environmentalist and volunteer. The Environment committee entrusted the Rotary Passport South Club to find a suitable candidate and we found Lucy! Lucy will receive a $500 scholarship cheque at the District Conference on October 5th. Congratulations Lucy!

Rotary 7080 District Conference, First Ontario Arts Centre, Milton -Sat, October 5th, 2024

You are formally invited to the District Conference for the Rotary year on October 5th in Milton - an all-day event 9am-4pm. This conference gives a unique opportunity for Rotarians and Rotractors from various sectors to come together and discuss key issues and opportunities that impact our district and community.

Speakers include:

  • Gimma R. Stacey Laforme - Former Chief, Mississauga of the Credit First Nations

  • Brian Rusch, Founding member of Rotary’s DEI Taskforce & former youth exchange student to Brazil

  • Adam van Koeverden - Olympic medalist & MP, Milton

  • Dr. Jean Augustine- First Afro-Canadian woman to be elected to House of Commons

  • Francisco Banegas- Microfinance

Patricia Gagic's Art Exhibit- Sat Oct. 12, 2024 

Patricia Gagic's art exhibit will be showcasing at the John Mann Gallery (1776 Fourth Ave, St., St. Catharines) on Saturday, October 12th  from 2-5pm.  

This will also be a lovely event for our Rotary group to see. More details to come at our next meeting.

Rotary Burlington North’s Turkey Trot Fundraiser Run- Sunday, Oct. 20th
