November 2022

Hello Rotary Passport Members,

Please see the below updates and amazing event opportunities.

PODS:
We have formed "Pods" to help run future meetings. Each group is responsible for assisting with planning and execution of 2 meetings and one social. Stay tuned for updates from your “POD” coordinator.

BTC Seed Orchard Initiative
We started our first project with the Bruce Trail Conservancy! Planting began end of October and we are off to a great start! We've prepared the soil, put fences up, and planted our seedlings. In the spring, we shall gather, sort, catalogue, and distribute the results of our labour. This will be the first of many projects we hope to collaborate on. All it takes is a little bit of money, a lot of care and service, and a whole lot of enthusiasm.

More fun photos from the first planting event can be found here: https://gambitts.myportfolio.com/seed-orchid-360

Project Budget: $11,000. We are hoping that our District and our Rotary Clubs will easily be able to fund this project. The Seed Orchard will eventually expand into a Seed Forest once the initial project is completed, with a possibility of adding a greenhouse, so we shall continue to require funding and will likely do a Global Grant going forward.
