What should I bring to the plant swap?

Bring healthy, pest-free plants to share, including rooted plant cuttings, potted plants, or seeds. For every item you bring, you’ll have the opportunity to take home something new!

Do I need to bring plants to participate?
No, you don’t have to bring plants to join the event. If you just want to browse, mingle, and enjoy the event, feel free to attend without bringing anything. However, bringing plants or items to swap will give you more opportunities to exchange!

When does the Plant Swap begin?
From 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Check-in & drop of your plant(s).
At 11:00 AM, the plant swap begins!
 

How does the swapping process work?
We'll be swapping in rounds. For every plant you bring, you'll receive a stick to use as your "currency" to choose a new plant in return. It's a fun and fair way to swap and grow your collection!

Each participant will place a stick on the plant they want most. If a plant has only one stick, it’s yours! If there are multiple sticks, we’ll do a random draw to determine the winner. The round continues until all plants are chosen.
 

What types of plants can I bring?
Feel free to bring a wide variety of plants, including houseplants, succulents, herbs, vegetable or fruit plants, and even plant cuttings or seeds. Just be sure that they’re healthy, well-maintained, and free from pests or diseases to ensure everyone gets a great plant to take home.

Can I bring plants from my garden or yard?
Yes! Outdoor plants, herbs, and flowers from your garden are welcome. Just ensure that they’re well-established and easy to transport.
 

 What should I do if I don’t know the name of a plant I want to bring?

Don’t worry! You can still bring your plant without a label. If possible, it’s helpful to provide a brief description (e.g., "green succulent," etc.), and participants will often be happy to help identify it.
